Gather at the Gallows
Nineteen people met their fate at the end if the hangman's noose at the Middlesex County Courthouse in London, Ontario. Public hangings drew thousands to the city - gathering on the courthouse grounds, surrounding streets, and even the rooftops of nearby buildings to witness the gruesome display of justice.
In this book, we examine in great detail, the individual cases of the nineteen condemned to hang - their background, particulars of their crimes, details of their apprehension, imprisonment and trial leading up to their final moments on the gallows. In most cases, however, the story doesn't end there.
